Dr. B.S. Rama Murthy, MD in Radiodiagnosis from Christian Medical College, Vellore, India, is a distinguished Consultant Radiologist and Fetal Medicine Specialist at Srinivasa Ultrasound Scanning Centre, Bangalore. With over 34 years of experience, he is a pioneering figure in ultrasound practice in India. Dr. Rama Murthy was the first radiologist in Karnataka to exclusively practice ultrasound. He founded the 'Fetal Foundation of India,' providing free obstetric ultrasound services and training specialists. Formerly, he served as an Associate Professor of Radiology at M.S. Ramaiah Medical College and Hospital and Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences, Bangalore. Dr. Rama Murthy authored the textbook 'Imaging of Fetal Brain and Spine' (Springer 2019) and has contributed to numerous chapters in several books. He is a founding member of the Indian Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and GynAecology and the founder of the Medical Ultrasound Society of Karnataka (MUSK), where he serves as Chief Patron. Dr. Rama Murthy has also served on the editorial board of the 'Indian Journal of Radiology & Imaging.
